Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is a safe and non-invasive diagnostic system using muscle testing as a tool for evaluating neurological function. Only doctors and healthcare practitioners regulated by licensing bodies can be certified to include Applied Kinesiology in their patient care. Our chiropractors are licensed to offer this methodology.

The methodology focuses primarily on neuromuscular function related to the body's structural, chemical, and neurological regulatory systems. Muscle testing assesses the impact of the nervous system on patient health, helping AK practitioners look for the source of dysfunction in the balance of the sensory system with the motor system.

Chiropractic & Wellness

People choose to see a chiropractor for a variety of reasons. From lower back pain and sciatica to neck pain and headaches, chiropractic care can treat a range of injuries. Chiropractic care can also help treat other issues affecting the body, including joint and knee pain, as well as assisting with overall strengthening and conditioning of the back.

Some people need treatment as the result of an injury or auto accident, but many people use chiropractic care to fight the effects of aging, repetitive motions, or other factors that can result in the misalignment of the spine. Pregnant women and people with high-activity jobs can especially benefit from chiropractic due to the extra stress on their bodies.

Chiropractic care is for people of all ages, from children to senior citizens.

Our chiropractors have both received additional training in pediatric and prenatal adjusting techniques.

Acupuncture

What is acupuncture, acupressure, and cupping?

Originating in ancient China, acupuncture is a system of integrative medicine that involves a trained professional inserting fine needles at strategic points throughout the body to relieve discomfort associated with various diseases and conditions.

Depending on their goals and conditions, some people find acupuncture treatments most effective when they get them on a semi-regular basis.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, the needles redirect the flow of energy through the body. Modern practitioners also believe it stimulates nerves and muscles in a way that boosts your body’s natural painkillers.

Who can benefit from acupuncture?

People who choose acupuncture may often be living with:

  • Neck pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Lower back pain
  • Dental pain
  • Headaches, like tension headaches
  • Migraines
  • Labor pain
  • Menstrual pain
  • Respiratory disorders
  • Nausea and vomiting

Acupuncture can also relieve the pain and stomach upset that sometimes occurs when recovering from an operation or during chemotherapy.
